Myles Donoghue – Thomas Family Scholarship
Myles came through the Ottawa Indians rugby system and played at Ashbury College. He represented Ontario and Canada at the age-grade level. He’s currently studying and playing rugby at UBC.Continue reading
Mackenzie Carson – George Jones Scholarship 2017
Mackenzie has been part of the Abbotsford rugby program since mini-rugby, she’s gone on to represent BC at the senior level and Canada at the U20 level. She currently attends UBC where she continues her studies and rugby career. Continue reading
Lyric Atchison – George Jones Scholarship 2017
Lyric comes from a multi-sport background that included soccer and wrestling but decided rugby was her passion. She captained the Carson Graham high school team to successive championships in 2016 and 2017. She also won the Premier’s Award for Aboriginal Youth Excellence in Sports and made the BC U18 team that traveled to Ireland. She’s continuing her studies at UBC and playing with the UBC Thunderbirds rugby team. Continue reading
Sophie de Goede – Thomas Family Scholarship 2017
Sophie de Goede is not only an upcoming rugby star but is proficient in basketball as well. She’s attends Queen’s University where she plays both rugby and basketball. She was part of the Rugby Canada centralized program for Women’s 7s in her final year of high school.Continue reading
Shaye Tudor – Courtenay Taafe Scholarship 2017
Shaye Tudor is the recipient of the 2017 Courtenay Taafe Scholarship. She captained BC at the age-grade level and the Canada U18 team in 2016 and 2017. Her goal is to one day play in the World Cup.
