A number of our established endowment fund sponsors have established a Capital Fund to support a major multi-year capital project such as a new or renovated clubhouse or field facility. Previously, endowment funds would split their incoming donations to the endowment component of their Fund and a capital component, however, the different terms of the two types of activity have increasingly led to separate Funds. The key distinctions are that the total assets in a Capital Fund are intended to be withdrawn to pay for the project expenditures, and because of that, these funds are not eligible for the Foundation's matching contributions. Because these Funds come and go as the projects are completed, the following list fluctuates. The current Capital Funds are listed below:
- Aurora Barbarian RFC Development Fund
- Bayside RFC Clubhouse Campaign Fund
- Brock Green Space Capital Fund
- Burlington Centaurs Fund
- Cowichan Rugby Club Legacy Capital Fund
- Lone Oak Legends Capital Fund
- MGRP Capital Fund
- Montreal Irish Capital Fund
- Niagara Old Boys RFC Capital Fund
- Oak & Palm Sport Club Society COMING HOME Capital Fund
- Red Deer Titans RFC Capital Fund
- Saint John Trojans RFC Fund
- Strathcona Druids RFC Fund
- Tillman Briggs Capital Fund
- Twin Elm Rugby Park Renewal Fund
- VIRU- Creighton Capital Fund
Generally you will be able to make donations to the individual funds through forms found beneath their fund bio. If you are using a VPN, this may not allow the form to work. If a link isn't working, try pausing your VPN, and if that doesn't work, you can make your donation directly to your selected Fund at CanadaHelps.org here.
