The Investment Committee is a committee of the Board of Directors appointed at the Annual General Meeting. It is charged with overseeing the management of the Foundation’s investments which are managed on a day-to-day basis by the firm of Leith Wheeler Investment Counsel.
The Committee’s primary responsibilities are to:
- Develop with the Investment Manager, the Foundation’s Investment Policy Statement (IPS)
- Review and recommend to the Board the appointment of the Investment Manager
- Oversee the Investment Manager’s performance relative to adherence to the IPS, reporting on monthly, quarterly and annual investment performance, providing environmental scans, forecasts, and implications for short- and long-term investment planning and decisions, and suggesting revisions to the IPS when appropriate.
