Les Voyageurs Rugby Fund was originally established to raise money for the Men’s U20 Supporters Fund (now the Men’s Age-grade Rugby Fund)followed by the newer Women’s Age-grade Rugby Fund. The fund was formally established in April 2023.
Les Voyageurs are a group of Rugby Canada supporters and fans who originally came together to travel to and attend the Vancouver 7s tournament. The group established this Fund to show support for rugby in Canada and celebrate the experiences they have come to enjoy while attending the Vancouver 7s and during their rugby playing time, with a focus on men’s and women’s age-grade player and team development. The travelling group now approaches 100 devout fans at the Vancouver 7s.
The fund is intended to generate funds to be allocated 50/50 to the Canada Men’s Age-grade program, and the Canada Women’s Age-grade (U18, U20 and U23) programs once it has reached a threshold of $100,000. Once that level has been reached, 50% of the Fund’s annual payout will be transferred to the Men’s Age-grade Rugby Fund, and 50% will be transferred to the Women’s Age-grade Rugby Fund following the Foundation’s year-end. As of 2026, the Fund has reached $70,000.
