JORDAN PODEALUK – 2013 THOMAS FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP
Birthplace: Edmonton, Alberta
Favourite memory growing up: the first time my mother and I went to Banff when I was in Grade 1. We had so much fun that we turned it into an annual mother daughter trip.
Position Played: inside centre, flank, 8 man, second row and prop.
First year playing rugby: grade 10, or 2010
Favourite coach: all of my coaches have provided me with different skill sets and techniques over the years that have helped me to improve. From my high school coaches, provincial team coaches or university coaches, all have helped me grow as a player immensely.
Most influential person in life: my mother. She has always taught me to try my hardest and never give up, even in difficult situations.
Favourite rugby memory: playing in my very first tournament in grade 10 in BC. I was finally starting to understand how the game worked, and I had an absolute blast.
Worst rugby memory: losing 3 consecutive city championships and placing 2nd in grade 10,11 and 12. We were so close each year, but could just never get the final result.
Favourite movie: Ten Things I Hate About You
Favourite musician: Imagine Dragons
Favourite book: the Great Gatsby
Career Plans: hopefully law!
Rugby goal in next two years: to play in 2 consecutive CIS national championships.
Favourite other hobby: watching movies |
