The Canadian Rugby Foundation is sponsoring the latest initiative to grow the women’s Sevens game at the University level and help ensure Canada are again on the podium in the next Olympics. Canada won Bronze in the 2016 Rio Olympics in women’s Rugby Sevens.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Eastern Rugby 7s Tournament is organized by\u00a0the OUA (Ontario University Athletics) and RSEQ (R\u00e9seau du sport \u00e9tudiant du Qu\u00e9bec) and allows strong regional competition among universities.<\/p>\n

The event will be hosted at the “1000 Islands Sportsplex” in Kingston, Ontario. \u00a0A development division of 3 U18 Rugby Ontario teams and 1 CEGEP team (17-19yrs) will also be competing\u00a0– 200 athletes will participate at the event.<\/p>\n
