{"id":52,"date":"2013-07-04T03:57:43","date_gmt":"2013-07-04T03:57:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/96.0.207.13\/content\/?page_id=52"},"modified":"2026-04-07T17:14:33","modified_gmt":"2026-04-07T21:14:33","slug":"board-members","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/canadianrugbyfoundation.ca\/index.php\/about-us\/governance-and-organization\/board-members\/","title":{"rendered":"BOARD OF DIRECTORS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-7395\" src=\"https:\/\/canadianrugbyfoundation.ca\/rugby\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Board-of-Directors-image-300x118.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"351\" height=\"138\" srcset=\"https:\/\/canadianrugbyfoundation.ca\/rugby\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Board-of-Directors-image-300x118.jpg 300w, https:\/\/canadianrugbyfoundation.ca\/rugby\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Board-of-Directors-image-768x302.jpg 768w, https:\/\/canadianrugbyfoundation.ca\/rugby\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Board-of-Directors-image.jpg 775w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 351px) 100vw, 351px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>BOARD OF DIRECTORS MANDATE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The activities of the Board include, but are not limited to, the following:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"i\">\n<li>articulating the operating principles of the Foundation (purpose, mission, vision, strategy, policies and practices);<\/li>\n<li>approving investment policy;<\/li>\n<li>approving investment managers;<\/li>\n<li>approving annual budget;<\/li>\n<li>appointing Foundation executive officers and staff;<\/li>\n<li>appointing auditors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Up to 15 people may sit on the Canadian Rugby Foundation\u2019s Board of Directors. 1 appointed by Rugby Canada; 4\u00a0appointed by the Fletcher&#8217;s Fields Limited Board; 10 voted onto the Board by the Members (lifetime contributors of $25,000 or more) at the Annual General Meeting. The Board may appoint additional Directors up to the maximum. A rotation of Board members will occur with the length of appointments at three years per term, renewable twice.<\/p>\n<p>Any disbursements made from a Foundation fund must be towards activities and projects aligned with the Foundation\u2019s object to develop and grow rugby across Canada.
