Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting cancellation of university sports including men&#8217;s rugby across Canada, the 2020 tournament was cancelled. The 2021 CUMRC was then hosted by Queen&#8217;s November 24-27, 2021.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TEAMS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Of the 34 teams competing to qualify for entry into the CUMRC, 8 were successful:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BC: UBC and UVic<\/li>\n<li>Prairies: Calgary<\/li>\n<li>Ontario: Guelph, Queen&#8217;s and RMC<\/li>\n<li>Quebec: Concordia<\/li>\n<li>Atlantic: Dalhousie<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>SEEDS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. The Dinos were selected by the Toronto Arrows selection panel, the tournament officials, and the CUMRC Board, based on their demonstration of the spirit, values, and culture of the game of rugby including respect for their opponents and the officials, competitiveness, and good\u00a0sportsmanship over the\u00a0course of the CUMRC tournament.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/canadianrugbyfoundation.ca\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Jeff-Chan-Spirit-of-Rugby-Calgary.png\" width=\"419\" height=\"419\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>INAUGURAL HOLMES AWARDS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During the first day of the tournament, 8 players &#8211; one from each team &#8211; were presented with the Col. W.D.C.
