Brampton Rugby Endowment Fund

In 2006 the Brampton Rugby Football Club created an endowment fund in the Canadian Rugby Foundation as a way of establishing a funding vehicle for the future of the club. While the intention was to create an endowment which would help provide the club with necessary funding down the road, the immediate result was an opportunity for both past and present players to contribute to the club in a meaningful way.
To date, there have been no disbursements made from the fund but the plan is to begin making small scholarships for junior players this year in hopes of recognizing their on and off field achievements while keeping them in a game they love and in the club environment. The junior programs have been the lifeblood of the club for many years and the endowment fund created within the Canadian Rugby Foundation will help keep many of these players at the club.
The easiest and most popular method for Brampton club members to contribute has been through automatic monthly donations for which the members receive a charitable tax receipt at the end of the calendar year. Through numerous monthly donors the clubs fund is growing quickly and new donors are continually being added.
